 | def1 = the sense of touch is that [[Glossary/communication|communication]] channel which informs the central [[Glossary/control|control]] system of the [[Glossary/body|body]] whenever some portion of the [[Glossary/body|body]] is in contact with the material universe, other organisms, or the [[Glossary/organism|organism]] itself. It has four subdivisions: [[Glossary/pressure|pressure]], friction, [[Glossary/heat|heat]] or [[Glossary/cold|cold]] and oiliness. An aberrated sense of touch is partially responsible for a dislike of food as well as impotency and antipathy for the sexual act.
